We have a very brief practice manuscript for you to download, so you can test your current revising skills against Manuscript Magic.
Try to identify as many unique problems as you can. There are just two rules:
1. You have to be able to name the problem. “This is telling, not showing” is good. “There’s just something wrong with this sentence” isn’t.
2. Only keep count of unique problems, not individual instances. So, for example, if there are 3 instances of “showing, not telling”, that only counts as one unique problem.
Tally up the unique problems you can name and, during the class, you’ll be able to compare it to how many unique problems Manuscript Magic identified!
