Thank you Jon and Andrea for taking the time to create this video series. I only learned last year (in my mid-thirties) how to get to the heart of my own excuses and see them for what they are. I still need constant reminders like this series to stay the course, because let’s face it, owning your destiny is hard work, but it’s also the best work!

    2. my difficulty is finding a good enough topic to write about.

Thank you for sharing this series! I’ve learned more recently that my excuses are just resistance. I believe that my writing will not reach the high standards I’ve set for myself. Therefore, I let other things take priority. Have to keep reminding myself that even 15 minutes of writing a day accomplishes something. And once I start, it’s easier to keep going.

    4. That hit some nerves… Tears rolling down my face through parts of it. Oh to become brave and overcome all that ‘stuff’…

What is the purpose of one’s writing? Why do we do it? Excellent questions that helped me refocus on what I’m trying to do each time I sit at my computer and stare at the screen. I actually do have something worth sharing with others. Thanks for that reminder. It gives me energy to continue the hard work of writing.

I have no trouble making time to write. I have plenty of ideas. My local writers group likes my stories. The editors and agents to whom I send my stories don’t like them. I do have some published books and articles in magazines, but mostly I get rejections. What do I do next?

Loved the video and insight. Excellent questions. I have been in a stumped slump!! This encouraged me to pick up my pen again….or at least revisit my computer keyboard and try to move forward in writing again…
